Moorpark 2015

Moorpark is the last reenactment of the year, the culmination of a fantastic year of battles, encampments, and sharing the history of the Civil War. The event was held at Cal Lutheran in Simi Valley which is a new location. In this humble photographer's opinion, it is a rather barren and bleak spot. It was a challenge shooting around houses, cars, and other things that scream NOT period specific! Haha, it was also incredibly windy, like hang on to your hat and your tent just blew away windy! Despite the challenges, I must say it is alway fun to photograph the event. This year my poor husband was not feeling well. We're part of the 2nd U.S. Cavalry. He managed to participate in the two battles on Saturday but ran out of steam for the night battle. We headed to our hotel as the sun began to set. I'm very pleased with how the images turned out and I hope you enjoy viewing them. Remember, all images may be purchased as personal small web files for $2.99 each.
