The Civil War reenactment I recently attended in Vista, California, was fantastic. Being able to see "battles" up close and personal gives us a real insight into the Civil War years and the way battles were fought. A lot has changed since then. I also really enjoy walking the camps at these events and capturing images of the participants in their period dress doing the activities that were "normal" for that time in history. It has been said that we will repeat our history unless we know it and learn from it. Reenactments bring it to life in a very real way.Now go forth and learn some American history!
